About

About LoRaSi

A Montenegrin deep-tech company building the instrumentation layer for grid resilience.

Why we exist

In June 2024 a regional blackout paralysed the Balkans. For hours, nobody could say with confidence how or where the failure had started. The infrastructure was there; the visibility was not. LoRaSi was founded in 2025 out of research presented at the MIPRO convention in Opatija, with a narrow and stubborn goal: make high-voltage infrastructure report its own condition, in terrain where doing so is genuinely difficult.

How we work

We are a small, research-active company of software and hardware engineers, based at the Science & Technology Park of Montenegro. We build what we can deploy: our sensors are on real towers on a real transmission network, with a real operator telling us what is useful and what is noise. We would rather ship one honest pilot than ten slide decks.

Deployable over impressive

A capability that cannot survive a winter on a mountain tower is not a capability.

Retrofit the existing grid

Utilities are not going to rebuild their networks around our product. We fit what is already standing.

Open standards

Interoperability and independent validation beat vendor lock-in — for the utility, and for us.

Gender Equality Plan

We believe innovation and equality go hand in hand. As a young micro-SME we have voluntarily adopted a Gender Equality Plan, aligning with best practice in responsible innovation rather than waiting until an obligation forced it.

  • Equal opportunity in recruitment and decision-making
  • Work–life balance through flexible arrangements
  • Annual monitoring of gender representation as the team grows
  • Active awareness of unconscious bias and inclusive culture
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment
