The official FIERCE Project evaluation report is now public, and the numbers put our selection in perspective.
272 proposals were submitted. Of the 227 judged eligible, 123 passed expert evaluation. Of those, 48 are funded. LoRaSi is one of them — first cut-off, Scale-up voucher, €50,000.
Read down the list of selected companies and you find well-established startups and scaleups from Germany, France, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy. Mature ecosystems, with deep access to EU networks and capital.
And one company from Montenegro, founded in 2025.
We knew the call was competitive. We did not know it was that competitive.
The voucher funds the next phase of SAMSTEO: extending our grid monitoring platform further into downstream space data, so Earth Observation sits alongside IoT telemetry and weather analytics as a first-class input rather than an experiment at the edge of the system.
