On the panel for MEST ETSI EN 303 645, the IoT security standard
Securing critical infrastructure, encrypting data in remote areas, and why cybersecurity on a transmission tower is not a compliance checklist.
Our CEO Milan Marić joined a panel discussion at the Science & Technology Park of Montenegro on MEST ETSI EN 303 645, the global baseline standard for IoT cybersecurity.
At LoRaSi this is not a compliance checklist item. We deploy AIoT sensors onto high-voltage transmission towers: hardware sitting unattended in remote terrain, on infrastructure a country depends on. Device and data security are load-bearing parts of the design, not paperwork applied afterwards.
Milan shared our hands-on experience of securing critical infrastructure deployments, encrypting data from remote areas with no reliable connectivity, and what it takes to build a resilient regional technology ecosystem around this class of problem.
Earlier in the year we took part in a related panel hosted by the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro on the national adoption of MEST ISO/IEC 42001, the AI management standard, as part of the InDiCo Global project supported by ETSI.
